Bookclubs are very important to us because we support all causes that promote literacy in our community.
We provide services for about 55 bookclubs which includes a 10% discount on registered bookclub book choices and book recommendations. You can learn more about starting and running your own bookclub here and you can always come to the store and talk to Mary or Rebecca about the logistics of starting a club and how to register your bookclub choices with us.
We do a very popular twice yearly presentation on new titles for bookclub reading in March and August and you can find on our website or in-store a list of the books presented and archives from previous years.
We also have two in-store bookclubs that are open to all. The Reading Circle In-Store Bookclub has been meeting since 1990 and meets on the 4th Tuesday at 7:00 pm of each month. Facilitator: Sandy Eacker The Knit Too Readers In-store Bookclub is a recent addition and meets on the 4th Sunday at 3:00 pm of each month. Facilitator: Susan Fitzgerald
We celebrate National Reading Group Month in October. National Reading Group month is sponsored by the newly formed Seattle Chapter of the Women's National Book Association (WNBA). You can learn more about this year's schedule of "Readings Round the Sound" on our website, and you can learn more about the WNBA here.
